Guided tours are offered all year round and, in season, theatrical night tours with a guide in period costume! After passing through the Royal Gate, you will discover the main enclosure and its stronghold, the governor&#039;s accommodation, the old arsenal, the food stores, the old powder room and the chapel. At the end of the 17th century, the fortress was enlarged and remodeled by Vauban to integrate the defensive system of the Royal Arsenal of Rochefort.
