Once you&#039;ve tried it, you can&#039;t do without it, even on vacation! Discover our selection of running trails in\u00a0<strong>Oleron Island<\/strong>\u00a0to combine the pleasure of running and discovering a region!<\/p>\n<h2>Ramparts circuit (7 km): short morning run and muscle strengthening<\/h2>\n<p>Perfect for enjoying a bit of morning freshness by the sea! From our campsite at\u00a0<strong>Oleron Castle<\/strong>, a short circuit allows you to do a short 7 km jog. The opportunity to discover the oyster port and the marina, the\u00a0<a title=\"citadel\" href=\"https:\/\/camping-les-embruns-oleron.com\/en\/patrimoine-visite-de-la-citadelle-du-chateau-d-oleron\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">citadel<\/a>, the coastal landscapes of the South-East coast, with the backdrop of\u00a0<strong>Aix Island<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fort Louvois<\/strong>\u00a0And\u00a0<strong>Fort Boyard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>First, walk 1.5 km and then reach the ramparts of the\u00a0<strong>Oleron Castle<\/strong>\u00a0to complete a beautiful 2.5 km loop. Under the gaze of the fortifications\u00a0<strong>Vauban<\/strong>, you can walk around the citadel via the moats and take several bridges, footbridges and raised passages.<\/p>\n<p>The little extra of the circuit: between the Porte d&#039;Ors and the lake of the\u00a0<strong>Phibie,<\/strong>\u00a0a fitness trail with around twenty pieces of equipment allows you to complement your jogging with muscle strengthening, thighs\/abs\/glutes.<\/p>\n<h2>Iodized running with sea view (10 km round trip)<\/h2>\n<p>Always departing from our campsite on\u00a0<strong>Oleron Island<\/strong>, join the beach of\u00a0<strong>The Phibia<\/strong>\u00a0At\u00a0<strong>Oleron Castle<\/strong>\u00a0(1.5 km), then follow the coast to the channel of the\u00a0<strong>Brand,<\/strong>\u00a0also known as\u00a0<strong>Napoleon Bridge<\/strong>Accessible to athletes of all levels, this course presents no particular difficulty, with the ocean as the starting and finishing point.<\/p>\n<p>This circuit training is also excellent for working on your short and long intervals, away from a track. And if you really want to push your workout, finish the session with a few minutes of running on sand to strengthen your ankles and joints.<\/p>\n<p>For a long outing (&gt; 1h15), you can continue your run after the bridge. Another possibility, another landscape: starting from the beach of\u00a0<strong>The Phibia<\/strong>, join the citadel of\u00a0<strong>Oleron Castle<\/strong>\u00a0and follow the oyster parks to the\u00a0<strong>White Point<\/strong>\u00a0(also 10 km round trip).<\/p>\n<h2>The Fort Boyard Trail: the unmissable running race on the island of Ol\u00e9ron<\/h2>\n<p>Every year in July, the Trail du\u00a0<strong>Fort Boyard<\/strong>\u00a0offers several races suitable for all athletes in an exceptional setting: marina, national forest, beach, with breathtaking views of the\u00a0<strong>Fort Boyard<\/strong>\u00a0! On the program: a 10 km discovery trail (50m+ elevation gain), a short 19 km trail (100m+ elevation gain), a long 28 km trail (150m+ elevation gain), as well as an 8 km hike, not timed. &gt;&gt;&gt; registration on\u00a0<a title=\"www.trail-fortboyard.fr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.trail-fortboyard.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.trail-fortboyard.fr<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The Chassiron strides: 12 km at the tip of the island of Ol\u00e9ron<\/h2>\n<p>To get your legs warmed up before the racing season, take advantage of your stay on\u00a0<strong>Oleron Island<\/strong>\u00a0in August to participate in the races of\u00a0<strong>Chassiron<\/strong>, a 12 km road race held north of\u00a0<strong>Oleron Island<\/strong>, in the municipality of\u00a0<strong>Saint-Denis<\/strong>. Very popular with running enthusiasts, the exceptional route passes through the northern tip of the island at the foot of the\u00a0<strong>Chassiron Lighthouse<\/strong>, along the cliffs, through the vineyards and on the beach.
